Time to carpool
| My friends and I carpool with about 4 people in a car and our bus stop is MAJOR far away, but we endure it every now and then. Try to carpool with everyone in your neighborhood when your headed to school or shopping because we sure have made an impact on our peers when they see five or six people getting out of a small Audi. (27 mpg baby!) |
Keep your wheels green too!
| If you live in a small town or city, don't hop in the car to go a few blocks down the road! Jump on your bike! It saves the air from pollution and the Earth from losing its natural resources... gasoline!! |
Air Conditioning
| Only put the air conditioning in your car on while you're on the highway.Don't blast it just keep it at a setting that's comfortable.The next time you're cruising around town roll you're window down and get fresh air because air conditioning sucks up a lot of gas. |
Green Parking Tip
| Whenever possible, find a parking spot pointing your vehicle straight ahead. It saves fuel backing out (worse yet, waiting to do so!) and is safer too. |

| Did you know having more weight in your car sucks up gas? So take all that extra junk out of your car. |
Green with Friends
| If you want to go to school one of the greener ways, take a school bus with your friends, and if your school doesn't have one, talk to the PTA or PTO just like Linda and Tosh said. |
Pump 'em Up!
 | Did you know that you get better gas mileage when you have the right amount of air in your tires? Get a tire-pressure gauge and keep those tires full! |
Carpool
 | Only about 18 percent of vehicles on the road during rush hour use the carpool lanes. When you need to drive, buddy up and have more fun while you share costs! |
Make it a Game
| Organize a “Ride Your Bike to School” day for your school, and have a blast as you hand out prizes for the most creative entries (you just might see big wheels and children’s bikes in the mix). |
