Grow your own herb garden

by Lauren Long
Lauren LongInstead of going to the grocery store and buying herbs that are in plastic and/or metal packaging, that have also been treated with pesticides and fertilizers, grow your own! All that you have to do is go to a local feed dealer, like the Farmers' Association, buy organic seeds, biodegradable pots, and a spray bottle to put your homemade pesticides in. You could even look for organic potting soil. And don't worry about fertilizer, just compost vegetable and fruit peels/scraps, even grass clippings and used coffee grounds! If you take good care of your garden, you'll most likely get fresher tasting, less expensive, all-around good for you herbs!

Natural Allergy Medication

by Alexandria Lynn
Alexandria LynnNext time you go to the supermarket or your local heath food store, go to the honey isle. Look at the labels and find one that says it was produced in a town near your area. When bees create pollen, they reform it into honey. And when they do, they are also creating a natural substance that helps with allergies! Because the honey is local, you will be dealing with pollen and other things that are closer to you than somewhere far away. And remember, when you're done, recycle the bottle.

generation green globe
Your body is about 70 percent water. The planet is about 70 percent water. The more high-water-content foods you can ingest—even up to 70 percent overall—the healthier you’re likely to be. (Don’t take our word for it—be sure and check in with yourself—no one knows you better than you!—and your doctor.)
